Lost in Translation II

I’ve already awoken from the dream

But still a man with a camera

Gives me directions

In broken English

And the elliptical machine

Runs out of control

And Charlotte,

Plain and intelligent,

Lives parallel to me

In a marriage

Of inconvenience,

Sharing insomnia

And incomprehension

Over drinks

And food we don’t understand

And I will never wake up again

Because my eyes are already open

In this ancient world

While America is still asleep

16 hours in the past
