About Half a Sonnet

I want to write. But instead I become

Nothing, a hydrant spewing emptiness,

Blank, blank, blank, blank, blank from my six-gun.

All words have no meaning now– “ceci n’est

Pas un poème”–and who, who could understand

The Treachery of Images better

Than a pen who is running out of ink
