Presence

The only time to live is now

The only time to work is now

The only time to love is now

The only time there ever was

Ever is, ever shall be

Is now

  1. I love how sharp poem is. It’s just reads the truth without unnecessary frills weighing it down. Great work.

  2. Don’t know what’s going on with my English! I must be tired :-) That should have said: “I love how sharp the poem is. It just speaks the truth without unnecessary frills weighing it down. Great work!” Sorry. I will run it past my editor next time! :-D

    • Thanks so much for the comment – I often wonder if I’ve crossed the line from a sharp, effective poem into a grey area of a short poem lacking real substance. I’m glad for you it wasn’t relegated into that purgatory.

And don’t worry, all writers forget how make English words into sentence more often than not.
