people would pay a pessimistically persistent price
to purchase poison
-and plenty.

pick up your pieces of potential with pride.
press the (preferably) perfect portions of your past
into that pool of plastic you protect so phobicly.

focused, we follow the fall into fresh fantasy.
frenzied, we fit foolishness into familiar frames
and fail to fix our phrases.

realizing that the same letter does not mean the

same sound, suddenly
seams surround the seemingly simple
with sustained substance
